🧠12 Stoic Exercises Ranked by Power (and Science)
Want Mental Clarity, Resilience, and Stoic Strength?
If you've ever wondered which Stoic exercises actually work—and how hard they are to practice—this guide is for you.

I’d read about premeditatio malorum and jump straight into visualising my own death — before I’d even got a handle on the Dichotomy of Control. It’s like trying to deadlift 200kg before you’ve learned to hinge properly. You can do it, but you’re going to hurt yourself.
So I put together something I wish I’d had years ago: a ranked guide to 12 core Stoic exercises, ordered by difficulty, with the psychological research behind each one.
A few things that surprised me while writing it — Voluntary Discomfort is harder than most people think, and the View from Above is more evidence-based than I expected.

If you’ve been practising for a while, it might help you spot gaps. If you’re newer, it gives you a clear sequence so you’re not just picking exercises at random.
