A few years ago, I finished recording a whole batch of course lessons and discovered that the audio had been set to a guitar preset. Everything was drowned in reverb.
"Why now? Why me?" were the first words out of my mouth.
I was recording a course on Stoicism.
Reading had never been the problem. I knew the ideas. But when something went wrong, I still reacted before I practised them. I still get this wrong.
The gap is usually between knowing and doing.
So I rebuilt the free 7-Day Stoic Challenge. I am calling it Challenge 2.0.
The original ran for years on an old platform, split across seven separate emails. Now each day has its own page, with the audio lesson waiting there. I re-recorded and re-edited the whole week so each day leads into the next. There is a new optional 36-page Stoic Power Workbook too.
The practices are the same. The week is smoother.
It is free, with no card required. Give it about ten minutes a day. You listen to one short lesson, then try one practice before the next lesson lands.
Day one is the SPQR Reset: take back control in 30 seconds. Day two is Amor Fati: what if the hard thing is the training? On day three, Premeditatio Malorum has you rehearse tomorrow's hard thing tonight.
Day four is Obstacle to Power: let the difficulty train you. Day five treats gratitude as a discipline, not a mood. On day six, the View From Above asks you to step back and see it whole. Day seven is the Lock-In: choose one practice and make it yours.
If you have read plenty of Stoicism and practised little, start today.
If you did the old version, you can ignore this or redo it in the new format. Your choice.
