Hello fellow Stoic ⚔️
The Stoic Handbook started out as a passion project of mine where I could share my favorite ideas in Stoicism and also innovate upon those with modern understandings of learning and psychology.
This month, the Stoic Handbook podcast has surpassed 10,000 downloads. Which is quite unbelievable.
Below I’m going to share the top 5 downloaded posts of all time so far.
It’s also been quite amazing to see some of the reviews. Two that I read that came this month said:
“Wow. Easily the most thoughtful podcast on stoicism out there”
And…
“The best podcast. I have been a student of stoicism for 15 years and this is the best app for those familiar with the writings and want a refresher. I appreciate how you do the meditations. Also, your voice is perfect for a guided mediation. I am grateful to have found this. Thank you.”
This is extremely motivating. Building on my podcast…
💡 In 2 days, I’m going to be releasing Stoic Anxiety Mastery. A course featuring 15 video modules, professionally recorded guided meditations, psychological writing exercises, and live workshops.
The aim of the course is to help you use Stoicism to completely transform your relationship with fear, worry, anxiety, and doubt.

🎧 Now on to the podcasts…

In this episode, I breakdown 11 quotes from Seneca all about fear. I recorded this during the first covid lockdown when there was a lot of fear in the air. Stoicism prevailed once again in modern times.
2) The Complete Stoic Death Contemplation
This is a short reflection on how we navigate thoughts about death. This is quite an emotional reflection that makes many people who listen feel a sense of poignancy about the brevity of life.
3) Learning Stoicism: A Systematic Approach to Stoic Praxis
I was interview by Peter Limberg for The Stoa on my unique approach to learning Stoicism. It is the 4885 system, which you can learn more about here.
4) Deep Dive: How to Gamify Stoic Philopshy to Overcome Fear
My HighExistence colleague Mike Slavin interviewed me in this episode all about how Stoicism has shaped my own life and the things I’ve done to innovate upon it over the years.
5) Stoicism is Preparation for the Worst Day of Your Life
I was recently moved by the loss of two children close to home in a car accident. I told this story in this episode with some thoughts on how we should approach impermanence and the brevity of life.
